Last season was impressive for the Buffalo Bills, especially considering the significant changes they faced in the offseason beforehand. Despite losing several longtime veterans like Micah Hyde, Jordan Poyer, Mitch Morse, Gabe Davis, Stefon Diggs, and Tre’Davious White, the Bills still managed to deliver one of the best seasons in franchise history.
They finished the regular season with a strong 13-4 record, comfortably ahead of the second-place Miami Dolphins (8-9), and advanced to the AFC Championship, where they came close to finally overcoming the Kansas City Chiefs. Although they didn’t get a chance to play in the Super Bowl, they surpassed expectations, highlighted by Josh Allen earning his first career MVP award.
Allen was a well-deserved MVP. While Lamar Jackson also had an outstanding 2024 season, Allen’s value to the Bills stands out more compared to Jackson’s impact on the Ravens. The 2025 season promises to be exciting for Buffalo, as they boast one of the strongest rosters the team has had in years.
Moreover, four members of the Bills, including Josh Allen, have a legitimate chance at winning major NFL awards in the 2025 season.
Fans should be looking out for these Bills to shine in 2025
QB Josh Allen – MVP Award
Not long ago, we saw a back-to-back MVP winner in Aaron Rodgers (2020-2021). While some fans might argue that Lamar Jackson deserved a second straight MVP last season, the truth is Allen was more deserving—and there’s no reason he can’t repeat that success in 2025.
Allen didn’t lose any key offensive players. He’ll return behind the same offensive line and now has new weapons like Joshua Palmer and Elijah Moore joining Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir, and Curtis Samuel.
He’s a versatile playmaker who knows how to punish defenses. Don’t be surprised if Allen continues his momentum and claims his second MVP award.

DE Joey Bosa – Defensive Player of the Year Award
The Bills’ top free agent signing is aiming for a comeback season after struggling with injuries over the past three years. When healthy, Joey Bosa is a dominant force on the defensive line. His main challenge has been staying on the field, having played only 28 out of a possible 51 regular-season games during that span.
He signed a one-year contract to join a championship contender across the country, and this could be his final opportunity to make a major impact. If he stays healthy and returns to his previous form, Bosa could easily be in the running for Defensive Player of the Year.
OC Joe Brady – Assistant Coach of the Year Award
It was surprising that Joe Brady didn’t win the award last season, considering he led an offense that averaged over 30 points per game despite losing more key players than gaining. However, if Brady can replicate that success in 2025 with the new offensive additions the Bills have made, he will become impossible to overlook as a top contender for the award.
If Brady excels again this year, Bills fans might soon have to say goodbye as he could move on to a head coaching role elsewhere.
DT T.J. Sanders – Defensive Rookie of the Year Award
This prediction could be a bit of a wildcard, but there’s a good reason the Bills moved up 15 spots to select defensive tackle T.J. Sanders from South Carolina. He has the versatility to play anywhere along the defensive line while maintaining impressive power and quickness off the snap.
Although Sanders might not be a full-time starter right away, he has a strong chance to become Buffalo’s top interior defensive lineman in 2025. He could earn a starting role as soon as next season, and 2025 might reveal the bright future he has with the Bills.
