Just In: Bills Reunite With Former Weapon to Boost Super Bowl Chances

Throughout the offseason, there’s been constant talk about how the Buffalo Bills must get Josh Allen a true No. 1 receiver if they hope to reach the Super Bowl.

But we’ve pushed back on that narrative—after all, the Bills averaged 30.9 points per game last season, reached the AFC Championship, and had a shot to win it at the end… all without a clear-cut top receiver.

They’ve since added Josh Palmer in free agency, along with Elijah Moore and Laviska Shenault Jr.—solid additions, even if some still think more is needed.

Fine, let’s entertain this idea for a moment.

Let’s be realistic: at this stage of the offseason, there aren’t many (if any) top-tier receivers willing to sign on and take a major pay cut to join Buffalo.

However, if the Bills were truly determined to add another wideout, one name does make some sense: Gabriel Davis.

Davis was recently released by the Jaguars just one year into his three-year deal, following a season-ending injury in Week 11 and an underwhelming 239 yards and two touchdowns over 10 games.

So why bring him back?

It comes down to familiarity and chemistry. Davis and Allen built a strong connection during his four seasons in Buffalo, where Davis consistently put up over 500 yards and six touchdowns annually—not to mention his standout playoff performances.

He wouldn’t return as the team’s top target, but he’d fit nicely into the rotation. Financially, a veteran minimum deal could work given the Bills’ limited cap space.

Would Davis be open to that? Unclear.

But if you’re set on the idea that Buffalo needs another wide receiver, Davis might be the most logical option.

Would we actually pull the trigger on a reunion? Probably not.

But if circumstances demand it, bringing Davis back wouldn’t be the worst move.
