Just In: Bills To Add Stefon Diggs-Like Receiver For Josh Allen

The Buffalo Bills had one of the NFL’s top offenses last season, and that trend seems likely to continue in 2025. While losing Mack Hollins and Amari Cooper might appear to be setbacks for Joe Brady’s offense, the addition of Josh Palmer in free agency and the anticipated development of Keon Coleman suggest the Bills still have a strong receiving group on paper. However, many believe Buffalo still needs another wide receiver for Josh Allen.

NFL.com’s Adam Rank, in his latest mock draft, has the Bills selecting Luther Burden III. Rank acknowledges there are still top-tier pass rushers available but believes adding another wideout makes more sense. Burden’s playing style is similar to Stefon Diggs, making him an appealing option for Allen in a receiving corps that lacks depth beyond Khalil Shakir.

With a 4.41-second 40-yard dash and elite ball skills, Burden could operate effectively from the slot and complement Shakir. He’s capable of making plays at all three levels of the field, adding a versatile threat to Buffalo’s offense. The Bills signed Palmer to inject speed, and pairing him with Burden would give Allen two explosive playmakers alongside Shakir, Coleman, and tight ends Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox. While some may not view wide receiver as a pressing need, if a top talent like Burden is still on the board when Buffalo picks in the first round, it could be tough to pass him up.
