JUST IN: Buffalo Bills Sign Another Player With Quality Skills they’ve Being Looking For

The Buffalo Bills kicked off the new week by making a couple of changes to their roster, officially announcing the moves on Monday morning.

Wide receiver Deon Cain is rejoining the team, marking his third stint with the Bills. In a journey that’s taken him across several NFL organizations, Cain originally entered the league as a sixth-round draft pick by the Indianapolis Colts back in 2018. Since then, he’s suited up for 15 games—starting in six of them—and has spent time with multiple teams including the Steelers, Ravens, Eagles, and Panthers. Beyond the NFL, Cain has also continued developing his game in the USFL/UFL, where he played for the Birmingham Stallions, helping to keep his professional career alive and thriving.

To make space for Cain on the roster, the Bills released defensive back Daryl Porter Jr., who had joined the team earlier this year as an undrafted rookie. Though he didn’t get long with the squad, his release comes as part of the normal roster adjustments teams make as training camp gets underway.

Speaking of training camp, the Bills took things up a notch on Monday as the team practiced in full pads for the first time this summer. However, a handful of players were held out due to minor injuries or soreness, head coach Sean McDermott told reporters during his morning media session. Among those sitting out were:

Tight end Dalton Kincaid, dealing with knee soreness

Wide receiver Curtis Samuel, who has a hamstring issue

Linebacker Terrel Bernard, also nursing a hamstring

Receiver Elijah Moore, sidelined with some leg soreness

Kicker Tyler Bass, recovering from pelvic soreness

While none of the injuries appear to be major, the team is playing it safe as they ramp up toward the season, ensuring that key contributors stay healthy for the long haul.
