Just In: ESPN Picks Kansas City Chiefs QB Over Bills Josh Allen Sends Shocking Message

The Buffalo Bills may be in their strongest position since the early 1990s to make a Super Bowl run.

With a balanced roster led by Josh Allen and facing relatively weak competition in their division, securing a playoff spot in 2025 seems almost guaranteed. But just making the playoffs isn’t the objective — it’s Super Bowl or bust for Buffalo.

While some are confident in the Bills’ chances this year, others — like former NFL offensive lineman Damien Woody, who shared his thoughts on ESPN’s Get Up during a segment called “Believe It” — remain skeptical, and for one specific reason.

“I’m not buying it,” Woody said. “Sure, it looks like everything is lining up for Buffalo this year — they have the least travel of any team in the NFL, and the roster seems ready to go. But Josh Allen still hasn’t gotten past Patrick Mahomes. Until that happens, I’m not convinced. Like they say in Missouri, the Show-Me State — I need to see it before I believe it.”

Woody has a valid point.

Josh Allen is winless in four playoff matchups against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, a major hurdle that continues to define Buffalo’s postseason struggles. And with both teams expected to be contenders once again, there’s a strong possibility they’ll cross paths in the playoffs — making that “Mount Mahomes” challenge all the more relevant in 2025.

Yes, the Bills have had Mahomes’ number in the regular season lately, going 4-0 in their recent matchups. But when it truly matters — in the high-stakes environment of the playoffs — Josh Allen has consistently fallen short, watching his season end at the hands of the Chiefs each time.

So while Buffalo is undeniably a contender, Damien Woody remains skeptical — and understandably so. Until the Bills can prove they can overcome Mahomes when the pressure is at its peak, he’s not buying into their 2025 Super Bowl hopes.

The big question now: is this finally the year Buffalo and Josh Allen conquer their postseason nemesis and put the Mahomes curse to rest?
