Nottingham Forest are looking for several new players before the new season begins.
The Reds qualified for the UEFA Conference League last season, and Nuno Espirito Santo will face a slew of new obstacles next season.
Forest are likely to sign Igor Jesus from Botafogo, while other players have been connected with the club during the transfer window, with strikers being in high demand.
Espirito Santo wants at least four new players, while more could arrive if the agreements work out for the club.
Nottingham Forest remain keen on Jair Cunha
This is far from a decided conclusion, but The Telegraph believes Cunha will remain a goal for Forest throughout the summer transfer window.
Cunha presently plays for Botafogo, where he scored with Igor Jesus in their first Club World Cup victory over Seattle Sounders earlier this month.
It was believed that a deal for Cunha had been almost done earlier in June, but those rumors appear to have been inaccurate.
Nonetheless, the 6ft 5in central defender remains a target, with Forest expected to make alterations to the backline in terms of depth.
Morato, Willy Boly, and David Carmo are the current backup options at City Ground, and Cunha may be a player who can join the team and provide real challenge for Nikola Milenkovic and Murillo.

Cunha feels like a good fit for Forest
When it came to finding decent deals on Brazilian central defenders, Forest struck gold when they paid £10.6 million to sign Murillo in the summer of 2023.
He has swiftly established himself as one of Europe’s best centre-backs, and he is expected to join one of Europe’s elite teams in the coming years.
Perhaps Cunha has been selected as a player who can join the club and have the same impact on the team as his compatriot.
At 20 years old, he appears to be the type of player that Forest is looking for these days, and this would be a really exciting transaction to close.
