JUST IN: Raiders’ New HC Klint Kubiak Makes Bombshell Maxx Crosby Announcement

The Las Vegas Raiders have officially named Klint Kubiak as their new head coach. Although the team had to wait until after the Super Bowl to finalize the move, the organization believes the delay will prove worthwhile. Now that he is in place, Kubiak has made his position clear regarding All Pro defensive end Maxx Crosby. New Raiders Head Coach Klint Kubiak and Owner Mark Davis Send Clear Message: They Want Maxx Crosby to Stay

As trade speculation continues to swirl around Crosby, both Kubiak and Raiders owner Mark Davis made it clear during Kubiak’s introductory press conference that they want the five time Pro Bowler to remain in Las Vegas.

“We want him to be a part of our success going forward. There’s no doubt about that,” Kubiak said Tuesday. “He’s one of the best players in the NFL, so that’s a no brainer to get to work with Maxx and see him continue to have success with his organization.”

Davis echoed that sentiment and left little room for doubt about where he stands.

“Maxx has been a great, great Raider. He is a great Raider. He’s gone through a lifetime of development here for seven or eight years, and he still is a Raider. So, it’s all good,” Davis said following the press conference.

Crosby Responds to Trade Talk

Crosby has largely avoided addressing the rumors this offseason, choosing instead to focus on getting healthy. During a February 7, 2026 appearance on The Herd with Colin Cowherd, while wearing Raiders gear, he brushed aside the ongoing speculation.

“Now that I’m quiet, I’ve got random people making big statements for me. They’re like, ‘Maxx must’ve told them this.’ For me, I just sit back and laugh because I know my truth, and when I go to bed at night, I have a smile on my face because I don’t have to explain nothing to nobody.

I’m getting healthy. I’m in the building every single day… That’s all I care about, so all the noise, that’s news to me sometimes.”

Crosby’s Production and Importance

In 2025, Crosby recorded 45 tackles and 10 sacks. Since being selected in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, he has played his entire career with the Raiders, appearing in 110 games and totaling 69.5 sacks.

Although he remains under contract, his value around the league would be significant, especially for a team considering a rebuild and looking to acquire draft capital or young talent in return.

Raiders' Maxx Crosby Shows Love to the Defense

The Raiders are entering a rebuilding phase under Kubiak, who previously worked with the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks staff. General manager John Spytek has praised Crosby in the past for his competitiveness and loyalty to the franchise. While a team holding the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 draft could make an enticing offer, both Kubiak and Davis have signaled that their preference is to construct the roster around their star pass rusher.

Crosby has not submitted a trade request, and the organization appears intent on keeping him in Las Vegas if possible. That stance pushes back on earlier reports, though speculation is likely to continue.

As the 2026 offseason unfolds, Crosby’s future will remain a key storyline to monitor, with potential offers and further comments from the Raiders still possible.
