The Duke Blue Devils recently concluded a strong college basketball season under head coach Jon Scheyer. Scheyer guided the team to an impressive 35-4 record, securing the ACC Tournament title and reaching the Final Four before falling to Houston.
Throughout the season, Duke dominated their competition, notching wins over notable teams like Alabama, Arizona, Baylor, and Mount St. Mary’s.
Following a standout year, Duke’s on-court leader, Cooper Flagg, has declared for the 2025 NBA Draft. While Flagg left a significant mark with his performance on the court, the program also highlighted his impact beyond the game.
Duke announced that Flagg was named to the 2024-25 All-ACC Academic Team, which honors student-athletes who earn at least a 3.0 GPA in the previous semester and maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA, while participating in at least 50 percent of their team’s games.
Flagg’s mother, Kelly Flagg, celebrated her son’s academic honor by sharing the news on her Instagram story.

Joining Flagg on the All-ACC Academic Team were six of his teammates: Tyrese Proctor, Khaman Maluach, Kon Knueppel, Sion James, Mason Gillis, and Caleb Foster. Duke also noted that the 2024-25 All-ACC Academic Team included a record-setting 120 selections across the conference.
On the court, Flagg put together a phenomenal freshman season, leading Duke in all five major statistical categories. The top-ranked recruit averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game.
His outstanding performance earned him both the Naismith Player of the Year and the Wooden Award to close out the season.
