Auburn football continued to strengthen its roster through the transfer portal by adding a wide receiver from South Florida, sources confirmed. The move marks another step in reshaping the Tigers’ offense ahead of the 2026 season under a new coaching staff.
The addition provides Auburn with experienced depth at receiver and reunites the program with a familiar player from the previous stop of head coach Alex Golesh. The signing reflects Auburn’s emphasis on bringing in players who already understand the offensive system and coaching philosophy.

Christian Neptune officially joins the Tigers after spending the 2025 season at USF. During his final year with the Bulls, he recorded 38 receptions for 335 yards and one touchdown, contributing as a reliable target in the passing game.
Neptune will have three years of eligibility remaining and is expected to compete for playing time immediately. He will also reunite with Golesh and wide receivers coach Kodi Burns, both of whom coached him previously and played key roles in his development.

With Neptune’s signing, Auburn has now secured two players through the transfer portal this cycle. The Tigers also landed Miami (Ohio) long snapper Hudson Powell, who signed earlier in the week.

Auburn’s portal activity may not be finished, as USF quarterback transfer Locklan Hewlett has committed to the program but has not yet signed. The recent additions signal an active offseason as the Tigers look to build momentum heading into 2026.
