Major Setback: Buffs Loses Top Defensive Tackle To Transfer Portal

Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes have lost another offensive lineman to the transfer portal. Just a week after Freshman All-American Cash Cleveland left the program, top star has also decided to move on. The former Clemson transfer, a one-time four-star recruit, is re-entering the portal after spending a year in Boulder. Standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing 345 pounds, the Atlanta native was projected to be part of the offensive line rotation this season.

According to ESPN, he was rated as the No. 137 overall prospect in his class, the 16th-best offensive tackle, and the No. 20 player in Georgia. He had been battling Illinois transfer Zy Crisler for a starting job going into the upcoming season.

Colorado has been active in the transfer portal recently, but the team is still facing a net loss of eight players this year. Maintaining depth along the offensive line has been a persistent challenge for Deion Sanders and his coaching staff. With Zach Owens’ exit, eight offensive linemen have now decided to transfer out of the program.
