“Pressure Is Starting To Build”: New York Giants Insider Reveals That HC Brian Daboll and GM Joe Schoen In Jeopardy Of Losing Jobs (Report)

The New York Giants are off to another 2–6 start in 2025. This is the third consecutive season that this has occurred, and some seats are undoubtedly getting hotter.

Owner John Mara decided to bring back head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen for a fourth season, but the winning results have yet to materialize. There is talent on this roster, but poor coaching has been the football team’s demise in 2025. Shane Bowen, the Giants’ defensive coordinator, is a major contributor to the team’s losses this season. Daboll is going to lose his position since Bowen has been a terrible coordinator. Is there any chance Daboll and Schoen will survive the 2025 NFL season?

Jordan Raanan, an ESPN.com journalist, discussed the future of the current Giants regime on the BreakingBigBlue podcast. Raanan said:

“I do think the pressure is starting to build on Brian Daboll – and company – and Joe Schoen, as well.”

If the New York Giants do not defeat the San Francisco 49ers this weekend, they will fall to 2-7, and calls for Daboll and Schoen’s dismissal will become stronger. They both made the playoffs in their debut season with the Giants in 2022, but things haven’t gone well since then.

Schoen is also to responsible for bad roster construction and insufficient depth. Even if they both are fired, the Giants’ opening will be one of the most appealing this offseason. A lot of it is due to quarterback Jaxson Dart and the team’s defensive talent. New York lacks the necessary coaching to ensure the team’s long-term success.
