The LSU Tigers program have remained a consistent contender on the national stage.
Last season, the Tigers advanced to the Elite Eight, where they were ultimately eliminated by top-seeded UCLA. Prior to that, LSU notched victories over San Diego State, Florida State, and NC State.
Following the season, Mulkey navigated several roster changes. Star forward Aneesah Morrow declared for the WNBA draft and was selected seventh overall by the Connecticut Sun.
Additionally, the Tigers saw a number of players enter the transfer portal, including guard Mjracle Sheppard.
On Wednesday, Sheppard officially committed to the California Golden Bears, according to Talia Goodman of On3. Sheppard spent just one season at LSU after originally signing with Mississippi State as a four-star prospect in the 2023 class, earning a 93 scout grade from ESPN.
During her time with the Tigers, Sheppard averaged 3.9 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game, starting in two of her 30 appearances. Across two collegiate seasons, she has started three of 65 games. In her freshman year at Mississippi State, she posted averages of 5.0 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists.
Now joining her third team in as many years, Sheppard aims to secure a more prominent role at Cal.
