The North Carolina Tar Heels put together an impressive transfer portal class, especially considering head coach Michael Malone has been on the job for less than a month. Still, that early momentum has hit a snag in Chapel Hill.
Just a week after Florida Atlantic forward committed to UNC, plans abruptly changed. According to Inside Carolina, the 6-foot-9 forward will no longer be joining the program.

With top recruit no longer in the picture, Malone now has 10 players on the roster, four of whom arrived via the transfer portal. That leaves North Carolina with clear holes to fill heading into next season. The pool of available portal players is shrinking, making the timing of the next move especially critical.
Logue averaged 4.8 points and 3.1 rebounds per game last season while coming off the bench for FAU, shooting an efficient 67.4% from the field. The French forward has been adjusting to life and basketball in the United States after competing internationally in the U16 European Challengers in 2021, the U17 World Cup in 2022, and the U18 European Championship in 2023.
One notable option still on the board is former Iowa State power forward Milan Momcilovic. He remains available in the portal and would be a strong fit for UNC after averaging 16.9 points and 3.1 rebounds per game for the Cyclones last season.

Meanwhile, Malone is continuing his recruiting efforts overseas and is currently on the trail in Spain. A top priority is holding onto center Sayon Keita, a five-star, 7-foot international prospect who plays for FC Barcelona. The 18-year-old is viewed as one of the most promising international prospects entering next season and is still considered a raw but high-upside talent.
