Another day brings another offensive line pickup for Bill Belichick and the North Carolina football program as UNC continues to build momentum on the recruiting trail.
Over the past several days, the Tar Heels have been aggressive in pursuing high school talent, stacking commitments and clearly prioritizing improvement in the trenches. Several recent additions have been focused on protecting the quarterback, and the latest pledge is the most highly regarded of the group so far.

A four-star offensive tackle from Anniston, Alabama, has announced his commitment to North Carolina following the conclusion of his official visit to Chapel Hill. After spending time with the coaching staff and getting a feel for the program, Ingalsbe decided that UNC was the right place for his future.
At 6-foot-6 and 287 pounds, Ingalsbe is considered one of the top offensive tackles in his class. He’s widely viewed as a top-25 prospect at his position and is ranked inside the top 300 overall players nationally, highlighting just how valuable his commitment is for the Tar Heels.

UNC beat out stiff competition to land him. Ingalsbe held offers from more than two dozen programs, including Arkansas, Florida State, and South Carolina. He also made visits to Cincinnati, Duke, Kansas State, Wake Forest, and West Virginia before ultimately choosing North Carolina.
With Ingalsbe’s pledge, the Tar Heels now have four offensive linemen committed in the Class of 2027. Overall, UNC’s class has grown to 11 total commitments, and the staff expects that number to rise in the weeks and months ahead.
The message from the program is clear: building strength, depth, and flexibility along the offensive line is a top priority. Since taking over, Belichick and his staff have focused heavily on upgrading the trenches as a key part of the rebuilding process.
North Carolina believes Ingalsbe has the potential to be a long-term contributor up front, and his commitment represents another important step toward reshaping the foundation of the program in Chapel Hill.
