Auburn landed a major recruiting victory in the 2027 class when four-star edge rusher announced his commitment to the Tigers.

The DeMatha Catholic standout from Hyattsville, Maryland, stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 225 pounds. Pace picked Auburn over a strong list of contenders that included South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Maryland, and Colorado. His decision marked Auburn’s second commitment of the week, as he followed his DeMatha teammate, three-star safety Knyair Crumb, in pledging to the program.
Pace is viewed as one of the top defensive prospects in the 2027 cycle. He is ranked among the nation’s best edge rushers, checking in as the No. 17 EDGE nationally with a composite rating of 0.9366. He is also rated inside the top 200 players nationally across major recruiting services. Within the state of Maryland, Pace is considered one of the elite talents, ranking as the No. 2 EDGE rusher and the No. 3 overall player.

With Pace on board, Auburn now has 20 commitments in its 2027 recruiting class, including 12 blue-chip prospects. He slots near the top of the Tigers’ current group, typically landing between the fifth- and sixth-highest ranked commits depending on the service, and becomes Auburn’s second EDGE commitment in the cycle alongside Rion Jackson.

The Tigers’ coaching staff, led by head coach Alex Golesh and supported by edge coach Coleman Hutzler and assistant Wayne Dorsey, played a key role in securing the pledge. Pace’s commitment also strengthens Auburn’s growing presence in Maryland, as he becomes the third 2027 recruit from the state, joining Crumb and Jackson.
