BREAKING: Missouri Lands Massive 4-Star OL Commitment Over Iowa, Nebraska to Supercharge 2027 Recruiting Class

Top247 offensive lineman Kyler Kuhn has given Missouri a major in-state recruiting win, announcing his commitment to Eli Drinkwitz and the Tigers in the 2027 class. Kuhn, a four-star prospect from St. Pius X in Kansas City, chose Missouri over a group of major contenders that included Iowa and Nebraska, ending one of the Tigers’ most important recruiting battles of the cycle.

Kuhn is widely viewed as one of the top offensive line prospects in the Midwest and one of the best players in Missouri regardless of position. According to 247Sports, he is rated as a four-star interior offensive lineman and ranked No. 221 nationally, No. 10 among interior offensive linemen, and No. 5 in the state of Missouri. Earlier in the cycle, 247Sports also listed him among the Top247 and noted that he held more than 20 scholarship offers while drawing heavy interest from Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Penn State and others.

Missouri had been pushing for Kuhn for months and got multiple chances to make its case. He visited Columbia several times during his recruitment, including a January trip and an official visit on May 29. In the weeks leading up to his decision, PowerMizzou and other Missouri outlets consistently described Kuhn as one of the Tigers’ top remaining offensive line targets, with the race centered on Missouri, Iowa and Nebraska.

Kuhn’s profile goes beyond football. 247Sports notes that he is also a standout wrestler, winning back-to-back Missouri Class 3 state championships in the heavyweight division. That multi-sport background has helped build his reputation as a physical, powerful lineman with a high ceiling at the next level.

For Missouri, the commitment strengthens an already impressive 2027 haul. Kuhn becomes another key addition to a class that has continued to stack in-state talent, and his pledge gives the Tigers another blue-chip piece in the trenches as Drinkwitz keeps building one of the program’s most talent-rich recruiting groups in recent years.
