On Wednesday night, the New York Mets will continue their series against the Milwaukee Brewers with Game 2 at Citi Field.
The Mets enter the matchup following a 3-2 victory on Tuesday.
New York Mets Announce Juan Soto Update
The Mets also provided an update on Juan Soto on Tuesday.
MLB.com wrote (on August 25): “Restarted a running program in mid-August but has been on a deliberate progression. Has vowed to return before the season ends and should have more than enough time to do so.”
Prior to his injury, Soto was batting .283 with 83 hits, 21 home runs, 52 RBIs, 46 runs and seven stolen bases across 84 games.
He is currently in his second season with the Mets.
According to MLB.com, Soto remains on track to make his return in September.

Soto is now in his ninth season at the Major League level.
Before joining the Mets, the 2019 World Series champion played for the New York Yankees, San Diego Padres and Washington Nationals.
The five-time MLB All-Star owns a career .282 batting average, along with 1,169 hits, 265 home runs, 749 RBIs, 821 runs and 102 stolen bases in 1,180 games.
Looking At The Mets
Despite boasting a high-profile roster, the Mets have endured a difficult season.
They enter Wednesday night’s game in last place in the National League East with a 60-72 record through 132 games.
However, New York has played better recently, going 7-3 over its last 10 games. The Mets are also 31-35 in 66 games at Citi Field.
After wrapping up their series with the Brewers, the Mets will stay home to host Jose Altuve and the Houston Astros on Friday night.
The Astros, meanwhile, are currently in the middle of a series against the New York Yankees in the Bronx.
