Auburn stayed red-hot on the recruiting trail Monday, securing a commitment from four-star offensive lineman and continuing the program’s strong momentum.
Auburn’s interest in him began immediately when the current coaching staff arrived, and that consistent pursuit made a lasting impression. Having prior familiarity with the coaches only helped strengthen the relationship, allowing everything to click quickly once communication picked up.
The commitment represents another major win for Auburn’s staff, as they beat out SEC rival Texas to land Ramsier. At 6-foot-4 and 290 pounds, he is ranked as the No. 12 interior offensive lineman in the 2027 class. He becomes the Tigers’ 15th pledge in the class, boosting Auburn’s national ranking to No. 19.
For Ramsier, the decision came down to the comfort and familiarity he felt each time he visited campus. He made his fourth trip to Auburn this past weekend, and every visit reinforced the same feeling.
Reed Ramsier feels at home on the Plains
Ramsier said Auburn took the lead the moment he stepped back on campus. The town, the university, and the people around the program all stood out, making him feel at ease and at home. He could easily picture himself living in Auburn even after his football career ends.
He also believes Auburn provides the ideal environment for personal and athletic growth. Ramsier feels confident the coaching staff will help him develop as a football player, a student, and a young man, making Auburn the best place for his future.
Building strong relationships with the coaching staff, particularly the head coach and offensive line coach Tyler Hudanick, played a major role in his decision. Ramsier valued the hands-on approach, especially breaking down film and discussing his long-term development.
He emphasized the honesty and authenticity he has experienced throughout the recruiting process, noting that kind of trust goes a long way. Ramsier said it’s that respect and genuine care from the coaches that makes players want to give their maximum effort on the field.
