HUGE BOOST: Auburn Adds Top-Tier Offensive Tackle to 2027 Class

A statement win on the recruiting trail has arrived on the Plains. Auburn sent a loud message to the rest of college football on Monday, landing one of the premier offensive linemen in the 2027 class and injecting serious momentum into its future foundation.

Auburn’s 2027 recruiting class received a major jolt when four-star offensive tackle announced his commitment to the Auburn Tigers.

Rated as the No. 5 offensive tackle nationally in his class, von Brandt picked Auburn over a stacked list of contenders that included Florida, Notre Dame, and Penn State. The deciding factors were clear: elite coaching, pro-level facilities, and a campus that exceeded expectations.

The 6-foot-6, 290-pound standout from Appoquinimink High School in Middletown, Delaware, spoke glowingly about Auburn’s staff and infrastructure, emphasizing how everything in the program is designed to prepare players for the next level. From the coaching personalities to the structure of the offensive line room, the Tigers checked every box.

Von Brandt has also developed strong relationships with Auburn’s offensive line coaches, praising the chemistry within the unit and the diverse leadership styles that make the room both competitive and welcoming.

For head coach Alex Golesh, this commitment is another defining recruiting win. One of the biggest questions surrounding Golesh’s arrival was whether Auburn could consistently go toe-to-toe with national powers for elite talent. Securing a top-five offensive tackle from outside the program’s traditional recruiting territory answers that question emphatically.

While von Brandt remains committed, he still plans to honor previously scheduled summer visits to Notre Dame, Penn State, and Florida, along with a return trip to Auburn.

His pledge pushes Auburn’s 2027 class up to No. 26 nationally, giving the Tigers eight total commitments and clear momentum as they continue building toward the future.
