Sad News: Raiders Officially Lose Another Top Veteran to ‘Shocking’ Rival

As the Las Vegas Raiders continue adjusting their roster, they recently released veteran wide receiver. With the addition of four new receivers through the draft and undrafted free agency, the team had to part ways with the veteran.

He didn’t remain a free agent for long. He earned a workout with the Buffalo Bills last week, and it appears he made a strong impression.

According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2, Kristian Wilkerson signed a contract with the Bills on Monday. He now has a chance to catch passes from one of the league’s top quarterbacks, Josh Allen.

This marks Wilkerson’s fifth NFL team. He entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Tennessee Titans but didn’t stick. He later spent time with the New England Patriots and had a brief stint with the Indianapolis Colts. When Josh McDaniels took over the Raiders, he brought Wilkerson along to Las Vegas, where he stayed for two seasons but recorded just two receptions.

Wilkerson has only six career catches, so he’s not known for his receiving production. However, he’s recognized as a solid blocker and a potential contributor on special teams.

Playing with Allen could lead to more opportunities in the passing game, but first, Wilkerson will need to make the final roster. His ability to contribute on special teams and in the blocking game could be key to securing a spot and earning more chances on offense.
