Jonathan David is back on the radar of AC Milan. Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada are looking ahead, and one of their top priorities is to add a striker, with the Canadian international near the top of their list.
Although Olivier Giroud saved Milan at the weekend and a contract extension is in the works, the Rossoneri still require a striker for the future. According to Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), Lille attacker David is one of the top targets.
The 23-year-old has been on their radar for some years, and he scored 26 goals in all competitions last season. He has four this season, and his contract will end in 2025.
According to the newspaper, Milan are trying to capture David using their ‘strong contacts’ with Lille, like they did with Rafael Leao and Mike Maignan. The French team will have to sell him or renew him next summer, which could cut the price marginally.
Having said that, the Rossoneri will not have an easy time of it, and it will not be cheap.
