John Harbaugh now reveals big Lamar Jackson decision

Two-time MVP Lamar Jackson has proven to be one of the league’s top quarterbacks. He is more than just a Ravens star, though.

Head coach John Harbaugh added that Jackson would also help build the team’s roster and has already “been tasked over the text world with a couple of assignments.”

“We’ll see who he prefers. “He looks at guys on tape,” Harbaugh explained. “And he’s never been bashful about sharing his thoughts on free agents and the draft. He hasn’t weighed in just yet, but he will.

Fans got a taste of Jackson’s ability to alter the roster last offseason when he successfully recruited wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., but it appears his position in helping to construct Baltimore’s roster is expanding, and rightly so.

The Ravens still have a lot of work to do after losing starting guards John Simpson (Jets) and Kevin Zeitler (Lions), defensive end Jadeveon Clowney (Panthers), linebacker Patrick Queen (Steelers), and safety Geno Stone (Bengals) in free agency.

General manager Eric DeCosta feels that the draft will be the most effective option to replace those voids. Baltimore’s nine picks in the 2024 NFL Draft will undoubtedly help.

“We’ve always been a team built primarily through the draft,” DeCosta explained to reporters. “We believe that’s the greatest method to create your team in the long run… We see this year’s and next year’s drafts as real opportunities to re-establish that depth.”
