Major Breaking: Indiana lands commitment for another top experienced star

“This was always the dream for me.” Bryce Taylor, a Bloomington South kicker, has committed to play football for

Indiana and coach Curt Cignetti. Taylor is ranked as the top kicker in Indiana and the 13th best in the country.

Taylor made a commitment to incoming IU coach Curt Cignetti today.

“I’m super excited,” he told Peegs.com. “It’s a joy to be able to stay at home and play for Coach Cignetti and the new Hoosiers. “It’ll be exciting.”

Taylor has visited campus numerous times recently and has had several conversations with Cignetti.

“He is bringing everything new, including the manner he runs the program and the vision he has. He knows how to win. “He’s sticking to his process and bringing those things to Indiana,” Taylor said.

“He’s making the necessary reforms, and the ‘New Indiana,’ is in the works. It’s growing.”

Taylor stated that IU special teams coach Grant Cain admired his ability and was an active participant in the conversations.

“They were impressed with my field goal accuracy and regularity. “They’re bringing me in as a primary field goal kicker,” Taylor explained. “They believe I can be a three or four-year starter. That was extremely intriguing to me.

“They said I charted the best out of anybody they brought in.

Coach was telling me that they needed me to stay at home, which made me very happy because this had always been my dream.”
