BREAKING: Wisconsin lands major commitment for another talented star

Wisconsin once had a lock on every top recruit in the country.

The Badgers do not have the same recruiting profile as they once did, but they remain a top destination for great offensive linemen, running backs, and linebackers.

As a result, it’s no surprise that Wisconsin beat out Oregon and Texas A&M to sign four-star linebacker Mason Posa. It’s not surprising, given that Posa is from Albuquerque, New Mexico. He’s willing to brave Wisconsin’s frigid winters to become the Badgers’ next great linebacker.

Mason Posa commits to Wisconsin football

Posa is a major commitment for the Badgers. In fact, he is the top-ranked commitment in head coach Luke Fickell’s 2025 class. That speaks something, too, given he is Wisconsin’s 18th 2025 commit.

According to 247Sports, he is the nation’s No. 18 linebacker recruit.

Posa recorded 133 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, nine sacks, three forced fumbles, two interceptions, and three fumble recoveries as a junior. If he maintains his current level of performance in 2024, he will undoubtedly be one of the most highly anticipated Wisconsin recruits in recent memory.
