The Auburn Tigers continue to lay important groundwork for the future, and this latest recruiting win carries a little extra meaning. Securing in-state talent has always been a cornerstone of Auburn’s long-term success, and the Tigers just checked another major box in that effort. With the 2027 cycle still in its early stages, Auburn is already showing momentum by locking in a versatile offensive lineman who fits both the program’s identity and its evolving offensive vision. For a fan base eager to see the next era take shape, this commitment signals stability, strategy, and a renewed focus on building from the trenches outward.
Auburn landed a home-state pledge in the 2027 class with the commitment of offensive lineman, a former Gadsden Southside standout. According to Rivals, Brown chose Auburn over Kentucky, while also drawing serious interest from North Carolina, Arizona, and Duke.
Brown is rated as a 3-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite and brings intriguing upside. The 6-foot-6 rising senior is transferring to Brentwood Academy in Tennessee for the 2026 season, where he’ll compete at one of the nation’s premier high school programs. He currently ranks as the No. 86 offensive lineman nationally and the No. 41 overall prospect in Tennessee.
For Brown, the decision was deeply personal. Representing his family name in his home state was a lifelong goal, and Auburn offered the chance to turn that dream into reality.
On the field, Brown primarily played left tackle last season and projects as a lineman with tackle-guard flexibility, especially in zone-based blocking schemes. That versatility makes him a valuable long-term piece as Auburn continues shaping its offensive front.
Brown becomes the seventh commitment in Auburn’s 2027 class, which already features four-star talents Myson Johnson-Cook, Layton von Brandt, and Donivan Moore.

This commitment also comes during a significant transition, as Auburn moves on from Hugh Freeze and prepares for the arrival of Alex Golesh, hired away from USF. The Golesh era officially begins in 2026 with four straight home games, giving Auburn a prime opportunity to energize both recruits and fans as the program’s next chapter unfolds.
