Journalist claims Pioli will call up two young defenders for Milan-PSG

AC Milan are extremely short on defensive depth ahead of tomorrow night’s match against Paris Saint-Germain, and it has been revealed that they will be unable to call up Jan-Carlo Simic.

Milan’s backline is down to the bare bones, with only Malick Thiaw and Fikayo Tomori certain to play tomorrow at San Siro. Pierre Kalulu is out for four months, Mattia Caldara is recovering from ankle surgery, and Marco Pellegrino is out with a broken foot and is not on the UEFA squad list.

Simon Kjaer trained alone today, and he is unlikely to be available for the match between Milan and PSG tomorrow evening because the muscle strain suffered before Napoli-Milan is still not fully recovered.

Jan-Carlo Simic, according to Pasquale La Ragione of MilanLive.it, cannot be called up to the ‘List B’ for tomorrow’s matchday squad (reserved for academy products) because he joined Milan less than two years ago.

As a result, the journalist believes Pioli will summon Dorian Paloschi and Clinton Nsiala from the Primavera.
